Your guide will row you down the scenic downtown stretch of the Clark Fork for approximately 2.5 hours (water flow dependent). Plan for 3–4 hours total including shuttle, safety talk, and loading/unloading based on group size and time of year.
This is a scenic flatwater float — no whitewater, just a few refreshing splashes. We launch in East Missoula at Sha-Ron River Access or from the Weigh Station on the Blackfoot River, floating through the confluence of the Blackfoot and Clark Fork, into Hellgate Canyon, past the University of Montana, and through downtown by Cara’s Park before finishing right back at McCormick Park. During low water in mid-to-late summer, trips launch from Sha-Ron.
Maybe you’ve already had an epic Missoula day and you’re ready to wind down in style? Come sip, laugh, snack on delicious local offerings, and soak up the best seat in town — sunset on the river, drink in hand, surrounded by our spectacular Montana watersheds.
We’ll handle the details. You just show up and enjoy.

FAQs
Can kids come?
Absolutely! We love having kids join the fun. For merged (shared) trips, we recommend ages 8 and up so everyone on board can relax and enjoy the experience together. If you’re bringing kids, please include their weights in the waiver so we can have the proper life jackets ready. You’ll also be able to select their drink choices (soda, juice, lemonade, root beer, etc.) during the online reservation and waiver process. If your child is under 8, we kindly ask that you book a private trip. This allows your family to float at your own pace and helps ensure the best experience for everyone on our floats. Children should be comfortable in a group rafting environment and be able to follow guide instructions. If a child in your party is unable to participate safely or significantly disrupts the experience for other guests, your group may be asked to exit the trip early without refund.
Are life jackets provided?
Yes. Type III life jackets are provided and mandatory for the duration of the trip. Think of it as a seat belt when you drive across town.
What should I wear?
Your feet will get wet so sandals, water shoes, or old tennis shoes are best. Dress appropriately for the day’s weather! Jacket in spring for sure! Bring sunscreen and sunglasses/hat.
Can we bring our own drinks?
Nope! We will bring ice water, canned sparkling water, and drinks that you choose during the reservation and waiver process. No other drinks are allowed.
Is this going to be super fun for me?
You betcha.

Proudly offering local options on seasonal and annual rotation:
Draught Works
Draught Works has been proudly brewing options for locals since 2011. In 2024, they were nominated Best Brewery.
We love their seltzers and IPAs and have them as an option to choose during the waiver process. We also have other options from them as available seasonally.
We love their events, live music, community support, and neighborhood patio.
Western Cider
Western Cider has crazy good cider. They have 2500 apples trees at their orchard in the Bitterroot, just outside of Missoula.
Western Cider reflects the communal spirit and family-friendly atmosphere that Missoula prides itself on with their fundraisers and amazing non-alcoholic options as well as their riverside tiny orchard patio that has been open since 2017. You can choose a few of their options during your waiver signing and questionaire process.
Big Sky Brewery
Situated near Missoula’s west side hotel area and the airport, these guys have music festivals at their amphitheater, and have been proudly serving Missoula for more than 30 years!
Their offsite bar catering services make them an active partner in many major events across Western Montana. They just recently finished remodeling their taproom, now featuring a landscaped patio, a cozy family corner, and two levels of seating. Check out their options during your waiver signing!
